Love this group but sure wish the flugelhorn player would buy and play a trumpet. I have no idea why anyone would play that horrible instrument. Get a trumpet. All the musicians are exceptional and Emily keeps it together with her unbelievable skills and talent. Great jazz, enjoyed it tremendously. Thank you Emily for who you are and what you do.

I so enjoy Emily's playing. I somehow stumbled across these vids one night on FB and have been enjoying them whenever they crop up. And to think she got her start right here in Rockford IL, a close by suburb of Sycamore.

I have watched this multiple times. Emily's talent simply blows me away. With the bass and drums the music soars to the heavens. Thank you.

It's really SOMETHING to hear that played. It's also stupendous, when you watch the energy the conductor is putting out, directing it and tgen you realize that Emily Bear WROTE the tune AND Orchestrated it for all those instruments. She wrote, by hand, EVERY NOTE PLAYED, and she's not even out of Junior High school! GOD had to have inserted some great artist's spirit inside her! She doesn't even use sheet music!!! Quincy Jones said she could go anywhere she wanted to go! I just PRAY she never uses any drugs. They would rob her of that genius mind she has! God, please watch over her! 🙏

I listen to that at least 3 times per week. It's hard NOT to watch it, when RUclips puts it up to be watched!

A bit of an oversell....nice to have access to American marketing avenues. A confused medley , technically perfect but boring no individuality of style or any phrase that is slightly memorable. She needs to grow and find...feelings . A long way to go yet to reach the Katia Bonyatishvili tenderness of execution and powerful mesmerizing force of presence..

I always get a blessing from hearing her play. Thanks for the program.

How she does all that, and from MEMORY !!! She writes and plays like she has the spirit of an accomplished composer in her. I DON'T believe in Reincarnation, but something is special !!!

I DON'T believe in reincarnation, but I believe she MUST have a great songwriter's spirit in her, like Jesus's cousin, John the Baptist, had Elijah's spirit in him. At any rate, she has great talents far past her age!

W O W...Excellent performance! (and she wrote most of that! and she did it ALL from MEMORY, too!!! I just GLAD that Quincy Jones hand picked her bass player and drummer. They play very well together! I just wish they'd put a pickup on the bass. He has to beat his brains out to get it lou enough to be heard. He's good!

I haven`t seen this one before. I`m 82, have never seen or heard a young person with the amazing talent Emily has. So gratful that found her last year, She is also so very real and humble, amazing parents. She now is 20, and way beyond any words I can think to describe her - love her so, she toughs me ol` heart.
